The Light Well

After the experience started by the German artist Joseph Beuys, the chilean artist Fernando Prats went through the project: "From Cardener to the Antarctica (2001-2004)". Prats sought to transport the essence of spirituality from its origins in the river Cardener (where St. Ignatius had the Outstanding Illumination) to Antarctica.

At Manresa he a 15 meters (49.21 feet) deep well was excaved near the river Cardener, representing the will to arrive at the origin of every inspiration. This hole is covered with a lid in a spiral with a total of 117 names of people registered in it. All have one thing in common: their encounter with mystical experiencies at some point of their life
