Old District Court
Public architectural building of Baroque Classicist style (completed in 1671, reformed and enlarged in 1860, 1882 and 1979) originally used as City Council House and prison and currently is an unused space.
Located behind La Seu (Collegiate Church) on the east end of the old town, in one of the most characteristic areas of the city.
Typology / Elements
Public building of monumental character with two main facades on the corner. It is formed by a quadrangular main body and two other bodies added. Of ground floor and floor, of symmetrical and unitary composition. The facades arranged symmetrically, with rhythm of windows and vertical balconies. Base at the base and crowning with cornice molded straight, simple. It emphasizes the great doorway adovelado of means point. The interior is renovated.
